Is your APU missing a ground wire? Iv'e heard a few people with this problem with recently installed/new APU. Does it try and crank slow then start clicking until the breaker trips?

The ground wire will cause an ALT error on the controller - it grounds the alternator. They made the cable out of very stiff wire strands - vibration causes the #### thing to snap off.

I took the cover off the APu and checked the wires, they are all connected. I have time now, so I think ill go take cover off and double check it again.

It did at first, but nothing at all now, breaker goes right away.

Where exactly should this ground connect at?
-
you could try a temp ground as a test. jumper cables or a bar to ground the engine to the frame or even case.

OK took it all apart again all grounds and wires look good. Engine turned over for a sec then quit. I usually get fault ENG but now I'm getting bA3. So I dunno.

Send the code into R/A, they should be able to tell you what it means.
Have fun with your lumber load...
