Does anyone have any information about Dual Trucking, based out of Louisiana? My bf is looking into them and I've found their website, but I'm looking for the info you won't find on the net. Anything negative, positive, personal experiences in general? I appreciate very much any info you might be able to provide.

They are here in the Bakken oil field in north Dakota and Montana, so far they seem ok, but they seem to have trouble
With firing drivers quickly for stupid things like not having the right fittings on their truck, or something on the truck breaking, but you never get the same truck each time so you don't have control of what happened to the truck the last time, so it seems that the management can be a little un-professional at best. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

How about an update? I know a driver who worked there for exactly three weeks, then was fired for leaving a location because he was out of hours. Jimmy (manager) sounds cool on the phone, but what is your report from the scene?

hubby worked for them at the beg. of last year....he usually only worked about 40 hrs a wk (was in MT)....when he did work, the shifts were LONG...his last shift was actually 40 HRS STRAIGHT.....it was nothing they had promised...he wouldnt work for days at a time....i have a friend that works in the office..they are or were within the last few wks being audited..and it didnt look good...had a driver that had a wreck recently, that the driver of the car he pulled out in front of was killed...he was way over on his hours...(i do not know this firsthand, this came from a friend of mine of over 12 yrs, no reason for her to lie) her hubby also worked for them..he finally quit because he was tired of all the crud with them....

I did work for them, lots of hours,if dispatch wants you to go out after being out for 36hrs or so and you've been back for 5-6hrs or so, you tell them I can't I just got back I'm tired. They'll sit you for 3 days and tell you no your tired get some rest when you tell them your ready. They are making changes. They fired a jack 'donkey' named Lee, and the Driver I saw today said they are doing a lot better. They have nice housing, your own room, bathroom & shower, and they fly you home and back. The equipment not great although I did pass a DOT insp ( after 30+hrs on duty,I just lied ) I was surprised then back to work for another 20 or so hrs.

I have worked for them for two years. Just like any company they have their negative aspects, but all in all they are a good company to work for. You wont find a better set up in the Bakken. They pay for your flights to and from, good housing and meals, lots of hours and good management now that Lee Buffington has been forced to resign. Some guys complain about the hours but hell, that's the whole reason for going to the patch . . . to make money. Guaranteed 40 hours but I usually average about 80. Not long ago I was averaging 100. Yes, if you whine about working too much dispatch will sit you for a couple days, but if you have a good reputation for busting your ### and need rest they wont. The only real negative I can say about them is the equipment. Old trucks with little comfort, but, they get the job done.

I agree with you, they do have a good deal. The housing, meals & flights are great benefits. I hope it didn't sound negative. I am a hard worker, they knew that and they never sat cuz I said I'm tired.I have heard of that happening. I was let go by that dumb ### wanna be cowboy for a stupid reason. I do wish you guys all the best, lot of good people there. If phones worked out there and didn't need the company phones I'd still be in touch with some of you guys but I don't have any #'s. I wonder who this is.... Do you remember " NOBAMA " ? That's me.
