My advice to smith570 is to chk into trucking schools & go thru trucking school. You could work part time while going to school & may even qualify for financial aid/student loans to help pay for school. While in school keep talking to Prime. You may have to go w/ another company out of school to get some experience before Prime will take you.
Need Help, Application Not Accepted. What should I do?

Thanks for all advices and information from U2Exit, OpenRoadDreamer , 1azsupertrucker, and transam pete. I know no trucking company is right fit for everyone but the only ones I know is Prime Inc, Stevens Transport, Swift Transportation, and CR England and out of all those I would choose Prime Inc then comes Stevens. And Yes community colleges are good to, they just take more time to complete. I think thats what I will do, get a part time job and go to a school. I have a CDL permit but from Florida and I dont know if here in Georgia they will accept me to use it. But i think if I finish a school around my area and then go with Prime it might be easier for them to hire me but I dont know I will call to ask.

Rumor has it Prime is limiting the number of CDL holders without experience.

Not every app is accepted.
If you really want it ask them what you need to improve and then improve it. -
I had no idea of even the questions I needed to ask as I started this adventure. What I thought I wanted last november isn't even a consideration today. I am 59 and am happy with a brand new truck with a kw fridge and a apu and a 2500 watt inverter, I didnt even know i wanted those things I love my automatic and I never saw that comin either. So please dont limit yourself by saying Prime or no one next year after you been trucking just a lil while you will want something different I am sure
smith570 Thanks this. -
Yes that is true Prime is starting not to hire CDL holders with no experience which now makes it harder. And tomorrow I will call back to see what I need improvement on but on my application I see nothing is wrong. And transam pete you might be right about I may want something different but Iam not sure yet. I will see in the next 2 months and look how things are, If its still not working out for me then I might try and apply at Stevens Transport. Thanks for all the help guys I will give you an update later on..

Dont give up trucking all together. Ton of companies still out there. CRST, EPES, FFE, SCHNIDER, C.R. ENGLAND, STEVENS. IF ITCOMES TO WORTH DO ABOUT A YEAR OR SO THEN COME ON THE PRIME SIDE.
