I've been a bad boy--2 hos violations in the last year and a speeding ticket (15 mph over in a construction zone, but it was 11:30 at night and no one was there but me and the deputies). How long will I have to wait to get hired again and who are the easiest companies to get on with? I have 19 months otr experience.
HELP! Violations, who will hire me?

3 years likely.
Good luck. The Lost Patrol Thanks this. -
Yep, most companies are 3 years. Find a local job or some OO that needs a driver.
There is no excuse.
I live right down the road from you.Take 68 down the mountain. The Lost Patrol Thanks this. -
Its ALSO that MOST INSURANCE COMPANIES can put a time limit things , so just finding a local outfit or O/O might not be a total solution.

I took it for GRANTED that most DRIVERS knew about that , I edited my post to point out that the INSURANCE companies also can LIMIT who you HIRE if they have traffic offences.

Sure the insurance companies call most of the hiring requirements.
But, there are plenty out there that don't have a clue on regulations or don't care. I've had jobs before.... Do you have a CDL? Okay, you're hired. No application, no background, no drug test... They are out there.
You take a OO with two trucks, not all insurance companies will tell him guidelines of hiring. A local excavation company might throw him in a dump truck, no questions asked. -
Speeding is bad but thru a construction zone and 15 over the posted speed limit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's a double whammy. Does'nt matter if it happen 11:30 or 2 am the point is,you DO NOT go barreling thru construction zones no matter what time it is.Plan on a reckless charge and at least 3 yrs minimum before any company will look at you. Then you have HOS violations, companies are more stricter now then ever before on HOS violations.

I agree.
I've been through so many construction zones that aren't active but the speed limit will still be 45 and other trucks are passing me as if I'm standing still. I'm not the best driver but it does make my skin crawl when people are speeding so much as if they don't give a #### about their cdl.
That's just my opinion. I hope the op does get back in the seat. But I also think you need to be more careful. Protect your cdl, you'll always have a job driving if you keep it clean.
