Made delivery in Westfiedl,MA late this morning. While enroute this am I received a call from a broker who said backhaul dispatch gave him my number. Not a problem for me as it saved me a call. He gave me all the info I needed to make my next pick up. I'll be loading in the morning in Balmat,NY (320 mile deadhead to upstate NY) going to Houston. That's 1735 miles by Friday morning (not including D/H as I'm only 30 miles from p/u). That will make for 7400 miles in 2.5 weeks. Not bad considering the time off enroute on first leg of this trip.

Outbound from a Poly facility is D/H. Live load/unload at customers. Most have docks and for those that don't we use chains and pallet pullers. Get paid extra for using pallet puller.

Pay is .48 per mile and $30 for all stops (delivery or pick up) after the first two from leaving home terminal.

Sound like you guys are doing good, JD was OCC really cool or are they all famous acting pricks? I'm more of a Jesse James follower especially since he has left LA and relocated Austin.

It was Sunday & only the people running the gift shop were there. I don't watch any shows except in passing. So I'm not up on what's happening.

Yes, I've been out this long before. Time out will vary.

Let me make something clear. Poly does not promise/guarantee any time out or home time. This is long haul trucking & things don't always go in the drives favor. However, dispatch will work with the driver to get them where & when they want to be. This job requires some flexability. So this company will not be a good fit for all who inquire.

I'm still waiting on HR to get back with me. I got a email saying my app was being processed but that was 2 weeks ago, ugh! I know they are short handed so I'm trying not to let it get to me.

Since it's been two weeks I'd send an email asking about status of application.

Well JD I hate to be a bother to people but I did email them yesterday and am still waiting to hear back. I've never had to wait to get a job, I've only had 4 in the last 12yrs and my records perfect. I really think they are waiting on my current employer's HR dept to re-fax the verification page and my current boss doesn't want me to leave but they are just getting way out of control with their e-logs and micromanagement and constant rule changes and adding rules and now they want us to start running 58mph so we can try and get at least 7.5mpg and if we do we get $100 and a shirt! Whoop dee do! They are watching everything we do, from idling to where we stop and for how long all via our e-log system peoplenet. It's just truck driving anymore and I'm ready for a change. Sorry for the long winded post, just had to vent. Be safe out there guys.
