These new lease scams, are nothing new, since the beginning of mankind, other people have been taking advantage of other less fortunate or underprivledged people. The only difference now a days is slavery knows no boundaries to specific minority groups. Think about it, how were the great pyramids in egypt built? who started the cotton plantations in the southern united states during the slave trade before the civil war?
As C. R. England manages to continue to grow, even in this nations greatest economic downturns since the great depression, people can only wonder why? Is it because cre is such a good company and they just want to help everyone with cheap freight and unfair competition?
I don't think so, I think C R England wants to ruin the trucking industry altogether. Why is Dan England the president of the truckers association or whatever the !@#$ they call it? Is he trying to help the industry alongside with CRE. The same way the lease program was setup for the drivers to "earn" more money?
I think something must be done about these unfair working conditions and unethical ways to compete with other fair companies that are not doing as well. The companies that actually treat there drivers well just never grow as big.
Look all I'm trying to say is !@#$ cre. You guys that stand up for the company are either one of the following 3 groups of people. 1. the p1 trainers. 2. corporate employees, board of directors. 3. or don't work there.
So like everyone says, again and again, time after time. Don't work at C. R. England! If you do, you can find out the hard way, how they do business. If you are one of the 0.1% that do manage to succeed, well I'm glad you enjoy ruining hard working american's lives, and enjoy the practice of slave labor. And for the rest of us, lets go enjoy another company. Thanks.![]()

Another lesson learned the hard way?

It's all very simple. It is significantly cheaper and more cost effective (on several fronts) for a company to have "contract drivers" than to have "employees". This is why SO MANY large companies have huge amounts of high pressure sales tactics and resources devoted to "making your dream of driving your very own rig" come true ... Why would you want to be a company driver when you can "be your own boss"? It's laughable and sad the way so many fall into their traps.
I'm not saying a few can't work their butts off and turn a "profit" as a lease contractor, but most who enter into these agreements wouldn't know a profit if it bit them on the ### ... or until the first MAJOR repair bill comes their way, following their slowest month of the year, then they find that what they thought was "profit" was really just the maintenance escrow account getting to where it needs to be.BigMuthaTrucka Thanks this. -
i dont believe CRE lease drivers are chained up in the bottom of a ship like slaves
10th grade debating class would have thrown this arguement out b4 it got started for comparing disimiliar topics
no one makes people work for CRE
i lease onto Transam and am quite content no matter what others think they are not me -
I will always contend that if you are STUPID enough to enter into a lease agreement with the likes of CRE and others of their ilk, THEN YOU DESERVE EVERY THING YOU GET!!!
God Bless America and Rollover the Original Thank this. -
I think I see a theme. The people who tend to succeed are the ones who look at themselves first when things go wrong. They don't blame others for their own failures, instead they learn, regroup and try again a little wiser than before. The ones who tend to fail are the ones who seek to blame others and thus absolve themselves of responsibility. Do not go into a lease deal or any other contract situation unless you understand what it means to be a small business owner.

First, if you are eating slop in your truck you might want to consider a cooking class. I much prefer what I cook over what is available at most truck stops. I average about 7 days a month at home. I drive about 60 mph, but I do so by choice. I turn down any load that isn't profitable so I often say NO. I don't train and again by choice. I do all this with less than two years in business and while still paying $480 a week on a truck payment. I was pinching pennies long before I got my own truck, that's why during the recession I had money in the bank. It's called living within your means and not wasting money.
My point still holds. Successful business owners are those who thrive on taking responsibility for their own success or failure. They enjoy their success and learn from their mistakes. If they sign a bad deal they warn others to not repeat their error, but they don't go around acting like victims.rocknsand, drvrtech77, sewerman and 1 other person Thank this. -
i just work 10-14 hours and go home and eat low carb food
my boss pays for all that truck stuff and benefits
its a crime to have new drivers sign their life away.
i looked at the lease when i started out but im freeRollover the Original Thanks this.
