I picked up a 1954 Ted Williams (Bowman) card yesterday for $1300. Card is near mint and already have a fanatical buyer reimburse the cost of the card and $3500 cash when i get home...... Its a good day friend.

Nice find man,
Is it graded? -
It is graded as a "7". Could ride it out and get another 2k for it, but sometimes you find a butt that fits in the seat...... You hand over the keys.
-
Dude a 7, that is KILLER. Lucky SOB.
I just have a hard time making myself sell a nice card when I get one lol. Really pisses the wife off sometimes lol. -
Going out on a limb here, but I think Dujo is like a lot of us 'older generation' folks. The workplace is NOT the place to be 'horsing' around, and in our field, the workplace includes the yard, shippers, receivers, t/s, and anywhere else we happen to be if we are not on 'official' time off. A lot of they younger generation seem to be of the mindset that 'work' is not to take precedence over their 'fun'. Unfortunately, 'fun' tends to get out of hand and things tend to go horribly wrong. Better to keep your mind on your job until you are on time off.DUJO Thanks this.

speaking of time off, I go out to my truck to collect my laundry, need clean cloths to go back to work, and I have a load assignment on the QC... picks up 600 miles away in Idaho, on Monday Morning... I told them I would be available after 10am monday...
Doing my laundry, and ignoring the load, until I call in tomorrow to say I am ready for dispatch. -
I agree... The workplace isnt the place for "horse play". I dont go playing grabass or any of that because I have seen the results.
What I stated earlier is a little stupid something that "breaks the ice" into a short conversation with an ex fellow driver. Again, the only person t hat I have run across that has taken offense is Dujo.
Be glad that y'all are in a job where you are in a truck alone (or with your hubby) all day with little public interaction because y'all wouldnt had been able to handle a job or two that Ive held in the past since they went overboard in my opinion.
Sorry y'all are old fashioned and cant crack a smile as it might ruin your day.
BTW, your not that much older than I am.flightwatch Thanks this. -

Well from looking at creepy old guys thread, you're already having trouble at JCT. $1500 a week? Who brags about $1500 a week and paying $147,000 for a truck? Good luck.... You need it youngster.TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.

I am?? News to me. They have treated me better than anybody I have ever worked for...trucking company or not. I am having a mechanical problem with my truck, but that's not their fault. $147,000 for a brand new truck, no down payment, no credit check. Sounds decent to me. At least I'll own the truck at the end of the lease. And yes, $1500/wk is ###### good when you come from making nothing at Stevens, and before that $400/wk. I'm proud of it, and I am happy about my decision to leave Stevens.
I still find it funny that you want to try to cut me down for pulling my training wheels off and going to a big boy company. Like I should have stayed at Stevens forever. You also call me a youngster, but have absolutely no idea how old I am, what my life experiences are or anything. You threaten me over a silly joke, tear me apart for absolutely no reason at all. Are you jealous? Miserable? What? What's your problem with me??
