My company uses trucks to move drivers lol.
Actually it is not for moves from one terminal to another. They use vans for that.
But if I go on vacation and have to turn in truck, they get me a ride home with another driver going thru my area. Saves me from having to have my wife drive 300 miles to come and get me.
And we run from the terminal to near my house at least 5 loads per day. So easy to find a ride to and from the house.

Passed my cdl test today. Tomorrow starts orientation and I'll be an official CRS trucker! Look forward to meeting some of you out there.

Hey everybody my name is Mike thinking about coming to central for training. I'm thinking that this is a good place to start. I just had a few ?'s would it be better to get my permit before I get to SLC. And as my id implies I'm from iowa I'm about an hour from I90 and 4 hours from I80 does anybody see a problem with me getting home time Thanks in advance Mikey

No don't bothered with he permit. It doesn't save you anything. The only help would be to study the cdl manual ahead of time. As for getting home, no it wouldn't be that bad.

Waving Hi and passing by... life has intruded in my 'free' time on the road, so not on here quite as much as I would like... so good luck to all the new drivers coming out - and hope to meet you some day. Bye for now :D
