Safe Haven?

It is for regional. 4-6 weeks for over the road.

 

I don't think it matters who's right and who's wrong.Not every officer knows the HOS so some may let you go and others will put u in violation.The best thing to do is start looking for a safe haven and hr before you run out of hrs.

 

It's almost impossible to (plan) how many hours you will drive a day. This is based on shippers and receivers, your appointments and how long you have to get from one to another. Sometimes you will have some extra time and most of the time you have just enough. It also depends on the time of day you are unloading or loading. As far as Truck Stop attorneys goes, wellllllll----.

 

That's when u plan ahead.You look at your hrs and if you feel you may not have enough time to get loaded/unloaded and find a safe haven, you call the cust and ask them if they have overnight trk parking.I've had to cancel many load because they did'nt have trk parking and the time of day it was.The later it gets the less trk parking you're going to find.Then you get out in the heartland of the east coast you better have a load that lds/unloads early in the morning.

It has nothing to do HOS and parking to comply with them.

 

I can believ it.It's a waste of time to even try and find a parking spot.Then having to use the restroom,you might as well forget that unless you park on the car side, if it's big enough for trks to even go thru.

 

8/2?What's that or are you talking about the split sleeper?I have never split my brks up.Always a straight 10 to prevent any confusion.
