Wow that's great you were able to map out your plan for where you are today.
As for a "Union Job" that all depends on what plan you have as you stated, because they take some of your pay " dues & such" that you will never seen.
Long as you don't fall for that propaganda, and have a good tax account you take the money & run.
As for working for C. R. England, I'd keep that one to myself....lol
Your entry level was being a slave trainee to a driver while he showed you the ropes, and got his rest while you drove for little revenue.
That would make anyone come up with a plan to do better.

Great research on Tribe Transport"s CSA score JohnBoy but you and everyone here knows these numbers are worthless. The CSA program is on the more than likely, going to be dismantled in it's present form. Trucking companies, drivers, OOIDA and now even the U>S> congress has expresed concerns over fair reporting and accuracy. Tribe has not been around that long so I can assure you that any company that starts up goes through this type of growing pain. They are in the "weeding out" process now it seems. They have right at around 200 trucks so if they receive a violation but a driver who drives for one of those mega companies receives the same violation, guess whoes CSA score will suffer the most. The problems with CSA are too many to list. The FMCSA has had hearing after hearing before congress but they have yet to correct the problems. I listened to parts of the hearing and was appalled at the number of non-answers the FMCSA gave. I remember Ann Ferro being told by a congressional member to "deal with these issues or I promise you, we will. I heard the hearing on an episode of Landline Now on SiriusXM. I got 2 warning tickets myself in Decatur Ga. by a county cop. One was a WARNING log book ticket. According to the officer, I pressed down too hard on the current log page."I can take a pencil, color this in and tell what you did the day before" he said. OK so he didn't like that. Doesn't mean I'm fatigued, but according to CSA, I was. My other WARNING was for improper lane change. That's what the ticket said. The inspection form said I ran off the highway. I admit, I did pull over before he turned on the blue lights. But usually, when a cop tailgates you, there's a pretty good chance you'll be pulled over. So I pulled over. He turned on his blue lights and followed me to the shoulder. I explained to him why I pulled over and he said he thought I had fallen asleep. I told him but I signaled, no one does that if they fall asleep. He did an inspection and came back with those 2 warning violations. OK, so he didn't like the fact that I assumed he was pulling me over. Doesn't mean I'm a reckless driver but according to CSA, I am. I asked the officer if he could please make these warnings verbal because they will kill my CSA score. His response, "well I don't know anything about CSA, they didn't tell us anything about CSA, all I know is if we pull a truck over we are required to write something up". I for hope it gets dismanteled. I believe anyone who disagrees is not aware how far CSA can reach or how far the FMCSA and law enforcement will make it reach. when it affects you, then your eyes will be opened.

GDCTT, my recent experience in Arizona was close to your experience. Arizona was running some kind of "Operation Southern Shield" to do intensive truck inspections in late February. I was pulled over for "not signaling at least 100 feet before changing lanes" with only a warning, and they got us on warnings for log book issues because we were logging Off Duty in a moving truck. The trooper was wrong on all counts. I wait at least two cycles of the turn signal before initiating a lane change and at highway speeds that adds up to 100 feet in a hurry. I also rechecked the regulations regarding logging Off Duty and the trooper was wrong on those counts as well.

Do warnings go onto a CSA score? I thought only actual tickets go on a CSA score.

Warnings written up during an inspection carry the same weight as a violation.REGARDLESS if your innocent. If you get a ticket during an inspection and go to court, fight the ticket and win, guess what? Its still listed on your CSA as a violation.Only way it will be removed from your CSA is if you dispute the violation and the writing officer agrees he was wrong then and only then can you get it removed from your CSA.

OOIDA is in the middle of a big lawsuit over this issue
