Enjoy your cruise JD, I know I would.
Love cruising. Went on 3 in 12 months at one point. Of course living in Florida at the time always helped, no airfare.
My next cruise is Seattle to Alaska in August, can't wait!
any info on Poly Trucking?

Which cruise line are you doing or if Norwegian which boat?
-
We are going on Holland America. My parents already had it booked before we decided to join them. Actually, my parents don't even know we are going. We have a room booked right down the hall from theirs, can't wait to see their faces when we knock on their door.
-
Yeah that would be fun. My Mom and Aunt are going also and they are staying like 5 cabins down. I joked with her that she should go never thinking she would do it then next thing I knew she said she booked it.

Chemster where you be? Any other Poly drivers out there?
-
I've been at the house since Saturday on time off. I got the call from backhaul today that I am picking up a load on Tuesday in Louisville and taking it to Houston for Thursday morning. 10 days off and it's been great to be home.
-
How did you manage to get 10 days off Chemster? How many days off do they give you for each week out?
-
The home policy here is different than any place I have worked. They will let you stay home up to 7 business days if you go home empty. They don't count weekends as business days, so if you get home on Friday, your first official day off wouldn't be until Monday. You could stay home that entire week and only use up 5 days of the 7 you have available. The only catch is that they want you to average 2000 miles a week during the month. That's pretty easy here even with taking a whole week off each month.
-
Wow, very nice! Run 8k miles in 3 weeks at .48 per hub mile and you still average $1000 a week even while home

From all I haved learned about Poly from JD and Chemster and by my two buddies that have worked for two years and I've known for years, Poly is the only place I would be willing to quit my current very good paying job and go to work. I have put my app in with Poly and Poly only, they say they are processing my app and if they decide to hire me then cool but I have no desire to work anywhere else so if they don't hire me I will just keep my current job. Poly has very many great qualitys and one is they really know how to take care of their drivers and pay them well. Their communications could be better but from what I get from my buddies they will get back with you promptly if the issue is deemed important enough. I just don't understand why more guys with experience and clean records don't apply. Well I'll jump off my soap box now, be safe everyone and keep the posts coming so we can all continue to get the feel for Poly.
