    I know Power Fuels has a branch in Ross..my suggestion actually if your not sure of the companies in the area is to be at a main fueling station either 5 or 6 am or 5 or 6 pm and you can visit with drivers..depending on what you want to haul or if it matters..can I ask why Ross?

    Thx for getting back to me;
    At present I haul tanker [food grade oil] and plan on applying to some companys in ND. I have all endorsements, TWIC, Passport, OHSA 10 & H2S. I've notice several companies ask about grind outs and gauging. I thought that I would familiarize myself with this, at least to know what it is??

    Grind out is when you take a top & bottom sample of your oil from the uprights and put the samples in a machine that heats & spins them and when it done you can see any sediment at the bottom of the test tube any sediment over .5 is not good anything under .5 is good and able to haul and unload...Strapping or guaging is just using a real measuring tape with a bob on the end to see the level of the tank uprights here are 400 bbls and lower your tape to about 18 ft slow down til you feel the bob barely touch bottom usually close to 20 ft wind your tape up and watch for oil line clean oil is hard to see so alot of us use baby powder when hauling oil you need to be right on the money as far as amounts dirty water you need to be accurate but not as crucial

    The main oil haulers around Williston are Black Hills and Falco.... Missouri Basin is in • Belfield, North Dakota
    • Lignite, North Dakota
    • Watford City, North Dakota
    • Westhope, North Dakota
    • Ross, North Dakota
    • Minot, North Dakota
    • Dickinson, North Dakota
    • Williston, North Dakota

    Power Fuels has some oil but that's not their main thing...Red Rock is here in watford city..there's lots of subcontractors who haul but be aware they can lose their contracts as fast as they got them

    To answer "why Ross": I brought a pop up camper to stay in and ross was the only place with a open spot for me to put it.

    gdyupgal Thanks this.
