I always carry both...When driving at work I have a front pocket wallet...If I get out of the truck it is in my pocket....I never take it out unless I am changing clothes.

72 hours, if you can't make bail. ;)

At least that's how it worked for me. Paid $150. Went home. SOB still doesn't know who I am. And that was his exact explanation for putting me there to begin with. "You might be on the FBI's wanted list"

No, I was on the states most likely to pay and go home list.

    It was a State Trooper.

I dunno. But it took him almost 5 miles to catch up with me. And only then because I pulled over and waited on him.

    I've done the same thing....twice.

Which of us do you think deserves the name. LOL

The state of Tenessee requires you to have your card with you when driving any vehicle with a CDL. This is with a TN CDL. You also need it when going to the DMV for anything. Show up to renew your car's registration without it and suddenly you are bumped down to a regular class D. You'll have to road test again to go back to a CDL.

You need to come to America. :)

    It's better here.

All I have to do is show up with my renewal card, plop down my money. And I'm good to go. No ID required.

Zero property taxes. Less than 2% Mexican. And lots of jobs :)

I have never been asked to show even a license, or insurance to renew my car tags:biggrin_25513: Sounds like a trucker story to me.Why would you go to the DMV to renew tags anyway? I thought all registrations went through the county clerks office.

Alabama asked (or used to) for proof on insurance. We don't even ask for that in MS

I live in my county by choice:biggrin_25525: We are laid back in a lot of things, and when I walk in or my wife to renew it's "Why Hello Mr. Patton that time of year huh?"

Florida required you show proof of insurance and since it is a requirement I did not really have a problem with it. We just don't bother here in Moore County. Dang sure have never been asked to show my medical card in any state to renew a registration.
