The only test I have seen in the diesel pick up magazines did show bio-diesel better, but it was from soy based bio-diesel they bought from a quality manufacturer and blended it themselves. Here is that test: http://www.johnfjensen.com/Diesel_fuel_additive_test.pdf

I wish they would do a sample of that Bio-mass added diesel crap the Flying J at exit 102 on I-85 in Blacksburg, SC is selling to do a real world test because I believe fuel mileage would fall off considerably over regular ULSD.

Buying bio-diesel from a quality source with mixing it themselves is not real world to the trucking industry where we are at the mercy of what comes out of the pumps that varies wildly from not only regions of the country but from retail source to another.

I am just going to stay away from bio-diesel sold in the Southeast until more time and more guinea pigs in my area use it with no problems. I don't run the midwest much or I would probably more willing to use it in that area since that region has used it alot longer than the Southeast has.

when i get the bio -diesel sold at loves and i did fill up at blacksburg my mileage goes south bad. got a cat accert and it doesnt like it at all. now i havent ran full bio- just the 10 to 15 % blend.

i was reading articles on cetane ratings and it stated that animal fat bio-d had the highest cetane rating. i just did a search for how to improve cetane ratings and found it.

i am mainly looking for a cetane improver

I run trucks in South Africa have tried to get our local diesel supplier to deliver only Sasol diesel as I see about a 8% mpg increase when we use it.
They say they draw from a few different refinery's so its just a matter of luck and we cant choose.
Sasol diesel has a minimum cetane rating of 70 and is produced from gas or coal and not oil.
See below about the plant they are building in the US.

$10 Billion Sasol Plant to be Built In U.S.
Sasol of South Africa is Behind the Plans for This New Plant

Sasol (NYSE: SSL) of South Africa has made plans to build the first plant in the U.S. to convert natural gas to diesel fuel.
Sasol is a technology-driven energy and chemicals company that was founded in 1950 in Sasolburg. Sasol converts gas and coal into liquid fuels, fuel components and chemicals.
Sasol intends to build a plant near Lake Charles in Louisiana that would be capable of producing up to 96,000 barrels a day of diesel fuel and naphtha (a chemical feedstock). Additionally, the plant can produce jet fuel. It is estimated to cost $10 billion to build this first-of-its-kind plant.
On Tuesday, Sasol said it would take about 18 months to study the logistics for this new plant.
The plant would employ 850 people when operational and the construction of the plant would be able to employ up to 5,500 people.
The fuel produced will be low in sulphur and contaminants; it could be used in any diesel-engine vehicle even if it is not diluted.
Sasol currently operates in 38 countries, employees around 33,000 people and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

bio from the Loves in n/ AL is not been good to me. I do not know what is is, but my neighbor has the same problem. having to change our fuel filter from 200 miles to 500 miles. our davco filters usually last 15,000 to 20,000 miles. we have fueled elsewhere, where no bio & not had this problem. we did go back & forth to make sure it was not just a fluke. over a few months. if bio is good for lubricating fuel sys, then I may get a tank once a month. I cannot take a chance on having to change filter on side of the road. I am not sure if other fuel stops in my area with bio would have this same affect.

For those of you who followed my EcoTaz Eco-5 Test in the other thread that was closed and to bring my EcoTaz test to a conclusion now that I have recieved a refund from BSI who I bought the EcoTaz from, here is my last 3 dedicated runs after I removed the EcoTaz with no difference in fuel mileage after it was removed to verify it makes no difference and is only a magical tube that does nothing for fuel mileage on your truck. This backs up expert testing on cars by a major automotive magazine TV Show.

For Fun here is a picture of where EcoTaz might be mounted on truck that may save fuel mileage.....LOL

At least if you guys want to waste your time by trying the EcoTaz, at least you can get your money back on the purchase only and not the wasted time spent installing/removing it along with the postage returning it.

I don`t think we have these things here in (Aus) that I know of, so has anyone bought this device or the turbo 3000 and cut them open to actually see what is inside them, just curious is all.

Somewhere on the net there is pictures of the Turbo3000d Vada cut open showing 2 metal vanes inside, but the EcoTaz is supposed to be different with metal screens inside instead of plates to keep from getting sued. Either one is sold on the same magical fuel mileage tube advertizements.

Save time and money by avoiding these magical tube fuel mileage scams!

2 that say they had no improvement compared to over a dozen that have seen it. You have been on a mission from day one to "prove" this doesn't work. You are even willing to lie, as has been proven on this forum, to make your point. So why should anyone reading this believe you?

And it is clear you lie about your positive results with Microblue. Nevermind you have no comparison between new non blued parts and your expensive blue parts. If someone that doesn't pay KR for an endorsement did hat you would be all over it.

Go spread your lies on he other site.
