Hi everyone, thanx for all the great posts. I am in the deciding where to apply stage and am seriously considering CRS. My problem is that I live in Norcal off hwy 99 and dont see to many of their trucks coming thru. Where is their nearest drop yard or will they let me take truck home for HT?

How's it going all? I've been with Central for a year n half now considering going o/o but I have a daughter that needs health insurance so was curious what some of the o/o's use so I can look into it before upgrading. Also how's that new pay package working out for you all?

Central has a drop yard in Stockton to drop your trailer in and then bobtail home. Unless they change that from when i worked there.
Best of luck if you decide to go to Central refer...Vista Cruiser Thanks this. -
I live off 99 near Galt, Ca. Stockton drop yard is still there on Navy drive in Stockton I went to TDA in Sacramento, but they have a Modesto school. No problems getting home. We deliver to Tracy, Stockton, Lodi, Sacramento, Manteca, etc. Drop your trailer, then bobtail home.
You would probably see more trucks on I-5. At night. We sneak in so no one knows were there! Sssshhh don't tell anyone. LOLVista Cruiser Thanks this. -
I have been with central almost 3 years now. My advice, stay company. I have a former student who went o/o with no kids only a wife and he is really struggling. You don't make more like thy say unless you train. And that is tough on your mental and physical self. The new pay package is not that great. It is actually a little less total than before. If you know how to work the fuel game that's how you make money. The new package doesn't let you take advantage of that as well. I have insurance on my own. A friend of mine had what central offers to the o/o but found out it was not what he thought. It did not cover much of anything and was not worth the money he was paying. So in conclusion STAY COMPANY. Do it for your family. They will thank you.

I would be interested as well... Hubby and I are O/O and we have been using Cobra... But that only last for a while...DrivinDave Thanks this.

PS... I ditto Road Runner!! I think the only reason hubby and I are staying above water is because the money coming to the truck is going into one pot... And two of us are putting it there. Luckily we had a choice re: the new pay package, and chose NOT to take it... But we still have to stay moving to get enough to pay the lease AND our bills... STAY COMPANY!!
DrivinDave and Jarhed1964 Thank this.
