In the South Union area at the border of KY and TN at the end of the Purchase pkwy entering Tn..
I am legal axle wise, barely, have a 79000lb load, however, the rear axls are slightly further back behind the 41 mark(between the 2 rear axls)
I was wondering if this was going to be a problem if the scales are open
Wondering if a scale is open on Sundays in KY

Or if there was a way to find out online as I do not have a CB
-
I wouldn't worry about it. I've only ever had my axle spacing measured once and that was in California.
I doubt Kentucky will raise a fuss. -
scales are not open on sundays. but they do roadside randoms 24/7
-
dont let virginia catch you like that. you will get a ticket. i know from personal experience.

If you're referring to the one just north of Union TN. They're rarely open. Doubtful they would be open on a Sunday at all.
And they're not going to ding you for your axle spread if they are open. If they do, it'll be the first time I've heard or seen it happen. -
Northbound I 75 Tn. were open this morning -
Not in Kentucky where they are referring to.
-
Today is monday were they open?

Aahh..thanks gang...I decided to just go I 64-57(was headed to Ennis,Tx from Evansville)
was slightly longer but also didn't have to deal with small town issues, lights on a sunday, speed traps, ect.
Turns out there was only one scale open in my entire trip,at Hope,Arkansas, and I got greenlighted via pre pass..and from what I heard their scales are equiped to weigh a truck if the wheels are back all the way on a 53(if someone decided to drive like that God Bless, but I would be taking the load back to my plant if that was the only way I could take that load legal weight wise, bad enough I had my axles at around 45....never again...)
