Haha, put you in touch with someone out of VA that Haney recommended.. I think that truck with the ISX is pricey, I know used trucks are high, but still.. I know it's pre-egr which is a plus I just think N14 or single turbo CAT is far better.

Wow!! Thanks for you guys help so far... The Pete with the Cat is a Pre-Emission Motor C-15
I knew someone would bring up the fuel thing and thats not a huge concern as i'm willing to slow down while being comfortable in a truck i like and want to drive compared to a truck i just brought because it will use less fuel. I understand both are heavy and would probably wouldn't have the highest fuel economy but i have driven an Classic that averaged 6.5 with a 500 Detroit but it did have an 13spd...
And that's the thing that i've kinda of wanted is that 13spd, i've feel in love with those things after driving a 10spd my first 3 years of trucking!!
One more thing or truck should i say, I found a Mack Rawhide 2007 18 spd 3.70 Ratio 569K for 45K.. Sharp Truck but i'm leery about this because its a 2007 basically post emission, i've known and heard countless horror stories about EGR failures with the Volvo's and know Volvo and Mack have a connection in Manufacturing. I've heard with these Rawhides guys were getting up to 7+ running the midwest with grain and livestock. Is this a good deal or just a little bit pricey?
That will be the last truck lol, i don't want to keep asking about different trucks lol.. -
Be real real careful on the warranty stuff. Its really easy for them to allow only $10K on a total rebuild when the actual cost is $20K. They pay what THEY want to pay for the work, and nobody but a judge can make them do it differently.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. They have a $20k premium on that truck because of that rebuild. Just looking if I buy another '02 for $33k what is going to cost me if I do an inframe with one of the companies here.
I have to go pick-up a step-deck from them this week so I will drive, get all the details and see what they come back with. They seem to think they would sell it over night. Right. Would have to be a cash customer because they can't get that financed for more than $35-37k. -
The 2004 CAT is not a pre-emissions engine. If it's the single turbo serial prefix MBN it is the worst emissions compliant engine ever built buy CAT. If it's twin turbo acert it is only marginally better than a stock MBN. Salesmen wrongly call anything before 2008 pre-emissions.. They will also advertise a truck with an MBN as "one of the good ones with a single turbo".. You've been warned.. It'll cost several thousands $$$$ more to make either of the two run cooler, getting better fuel economy - along the lines of the older engines - otherwise you'll be driving a gutless slug that's lucky if it cracks 5.0 mpg with only enough idle time for warmups and cooldowns..
