Tazz, did you ever get an answer on this??
Brace for impact
If it makes you feel better we had a guy thrown by a Tornado. Picked his 45,000 lb butt up and slung him into the ditch. Yep DOT reportable
I'll have to ask Kelvin Monday when I turn in my latest inspection if it changed our ranking. -
Sorry I forgot to ask him. My apologies. He started in about log book violations and it slipped my mind.
I'll make a reminder if I get back in time Friday. -
Kelvin said yeah our ranking went up. He also told me a new reg or change to the system is gonna have a way to remove non-fault accidents. Yeah not perfect but what is.
He did not have the release about the change but he said it either came down or is coming down next week.Basicall if your report assigns no fault to your carrier you DATAq it through the agency filing the report and they pull it. He said that as CVSA and ATA asked for this change the FMCSA feels a record should be made but then DATAq's can have them removed from CSA methadology.
When I get something on that change in concrete I'll post it. -
Thanks tazz
appreciate the info -
Cat sdp- You do actually have a driver score but only the FMCSA can see the drivers score. Anything that has impact on your carrier score will most likely impact your driver score. You can find what affects your driver score in "CSA Handbook A Complete Guide for CMV Drivers" we got our book from our insurance company which I believe gets them from JJ Keller. snipped.........
It looks like some form of consistent police report is coming from a couple articles I perused. I am not real sure how I feel about that coming down from the feds to local authorities but I understand their need for consistency in accounting for crash data.
