Well luckily for me, WI and ILL also have the highest IFTA rates also for the states we run in.

Do you find you run better on ILL fuel with the 11% bio-diesel added to it?

I agree,I look out for the cheapest fuel. You have to pay the tax one way or the other.I never have worried about the tax,it's part of operating a truck.

Yuck I hate detroit what a hell hole that city has turned into. Not to mention the extreme lack of safe parking there.

I did that load about a month ago. Can park on the street there but it is in a pretty bad area. One good thing is there is security driving around every so often because of them tearing down Chrysler plant across the street to keep the scrap metal guys away. Lock the doors tight.

I guess it depends on where you live. I live in the Fort Worth, TX area and couldn't seem to get anywheres near the house, not if I wanted to make any money anyways. I see that you live in MD, I don't think they even hire from that region, and if they did it would be very tough to get home once a month and even try to make any money. Not a bad company for someone that lives right in the middle of there running area, likes 2300 miles a week on average, and don't mind driving 55 to 60 mph day in and day out.

You forgot to mention the good money.I'm making more than a company driver making .35/mile and running 3000 miles a week.I personally like driving 59 and 60 mph day in and day out.I ran trucks hard for 5 yrs and always had maintence issues. With this truck, running slower has not only improved my mpg but has saved a fortune in maint. and down time loss for me.In 6 months the only breakdown problem I've had has been a main fuse blown on the apu.

1 mpg equal's about 12,000 dollars per year running the miles I run.For all the guy's that want or do run 70 and 75,it's usually someone else paying the fuel bill.I'm in this for the money not the glory! That's one of the biggest reasons alot of lease guy's fail, blowing all the profit out of the stack's,just to drive fast.I really can't see the point. But hey it's America, some guy's make it and some guy's don't.
