First it depends on chassis, but barring interference with fan it is possible to remove the damper and not mess with adjusting belts. You need the installation tool to install seal and wear sleeve as an assembly and you need the rest of the kit which it has a beveled tool to cut into the old wear sleeve and ring to place inside of front cover. I have used a short lady slipper pry bar to pry out the old seal and then used the wear ring removal kit to cut the old wear ring off. Then all you have to do is install the line-up tool which bolts to the crank and start the seal and use the pushed to install the seal to the proper depth. Using nothing but the above is a disaster.
