My answer......why are you limiting yourself to 2 companies? There are hundreds out there! We like where we are and my husband has worked for many. Bigger doesn't always mean better.

I drove for Werner for a year, first thru the training period. The only problem i had with them was weekend dispatch, you were often left sitting for 23 hours but i usually still averaged 3000 miles a week. Treating your dispatcher with respect and figuring out how to manage your hours on the qualcomm will get you a long ways
-
With any training company the dispatchers are clueless, weekends are a waste of time. Weekend dispatchers failed as Walmart door greeters. -
That's funny ! I once heard a driver tell a dispatcher " you couldn't dispatch trucks in a sand box ".MJensen Thanks this. -
This question ranks up there with who are u voting for in the presidential election. Seriously though, im a swifty and i've really had no problems so far but i havent gone solo yet so who knows.(end of next week i should be testing out). I look at all these big companies as just a rung on the ladder.
They push 500+ trainees a week through the doors. Of course u arent going to be remembered(unless of course u do something really dumb then everyone will know u) but if u just put up with the bs and stick it out for a year or so things should(?) Get better. -
I am also a new swifty and even though im jsut heading out with a trainer I must say everyone has been super friendly and professional. I'm looking forward to working for swift for a long time

Well guys I can't say anything bad about Werner, but right now I am listed in Swift's driving academy, and the trainers have really been great and have done what they were suppose to .. I am planning to work as long as possible with Swift .. happy trucking guys..

Well all the swiftys ya'll are starting out at 25cpm which is way to low. There is no reason to be so under payed same goes for Werner no reason to be so under payed especially if you have all endorsments.
