    6AM, til we're done, usually 3:30,or 4.
One job I liked, I started at 3AM, drove to Chicago, dropped the empty, picked up the load, drove back, about a 4 hr round trip. Did 4-5 local deliveries, done by noon. Rest of the day to do whatever.

I start at 8am every morning, and work anywhere from 430pm-9pm. Depends on what late deliveries and pickups we have. Our home depot account we dont go in until 6 or 7

Sand/gravel in S. Ca. starts at 4 am usually. Depends on type of freight for vans/containers.

I start anywhere from 4 am to 7 am depending on my destination for the day. If Im headed to Minot or Bismarck or Aberdeen, exc I leave early as I prefer to get the longer day trips over with with less traffic and a little more daylight to burn if I have problems

I've worked shifts like that for many years doing security, personally I love them, takes a little getting used to, but it is doable for most, you have to tell yourself you can do it, or, you won't. Biggest tip: black your room out to keep it dark in there, but let a minimal amount of natural light in. An older timer told me that and I've started doing it recently, and it has made a huge difference in my sleep, I guess it's a mental thing, being able to see about what time it is by the light.

When I was local I was starting 3-6 pm usually. Every once in awhile I'd have to help out in the daytime if we had a bunch of loads that couldn't be covered. Worked perfect for me though. I hate driving during daylight for more than a couple hours.

If the offer you a 1:30pm start time, take it. It's like sleeping late every day!

I am at the dispatch office by 6am Monday through Friday. It is the perfect time for me since I like to see my kids before they go to sleep. I used to work grocery and would start between 3pm and 6 pm. In the 7 months I did that I seen my kids less then when I was OTR. Never again.
