Frac operater questions

It's starting to pick up. They are saying that a couple more rigs should be starting up soon haven't looked at the board yet to see how many we have

 

Did you move to Hinton, or you just staying as you work?

The jobs will pick up as the summer progresses.

 

I will be heading there on June 5, arrive on June 8.

Will also be in Hotels for a while until I get a place and move my belongings and family.

Been in Ottawa for the past 3 years, but originally from Cambridge. I see you're from Kitchener.

 

Does Trican provide any living assistance while you are training?

 

They will set you up with hotel rooms for the first month or so.

I am going to stay in Hinton one day (room provided) to do paperwork, then off to red deer for a week of orientation (room provided) then back to Hinton (room provided) to work under a mentor for an undetermined amount of time.

Once back in Hinton I have to search for my own place. I am not sure if they provide any meal allowance, never asked.

Worked here in Ottawa for my first year out of a motel room, it's not for me. Rather have my own place.

 

If in a company paid hotel then there is a meal allowance.
