Well, what a rough day. Got the weight situated first thing. Drove for 3 hours, stopped and checked load. A OK. 10 min down the road I notice my tarp flapping, so I stop and it appears my rubber edge restraint fell and I now have a 6ft tear in my new steel tarp. So my other steel tarp is already being used on 5 other coils so leaves me with my smoke tarp. I sure as heck am not going to use a lumber tarp for 1 coil. So I managed to cover the bad part of the torn tarp and got more edge restraint in this time. And snugged the smoke tarp as tight as I could get it. I think I used about every hook and eyelit available. So now my load is nice and secured again. Ended up spending nearly 3 hours stopping throughout the day checking on load and adjusting when needed. Made it to Des Moines IA. Still made 601.6 miles today. Definitely gonna be short for my 90. Ill have 11 hours tomorrow, then 4.5 coming back tomorrow night. 1054 miles left to run.
