KW GLIDER

Same here. So far, really enjoying it. Figured it was only a matter if time till its not an option and Id be stuck.

 

How's your fuel mileage been compared to the cabover?

 

Honestly, it justs continually gets better. Filled up tonight, 7.21,was getting 5.5-5.9 occasionally alittle better than 6 with the cabover. The Coronado started at 6.5 and just keeps improving. Got a whooping 9700 miles on it now! :smt023 And just slightly more comfortable too!

 

Guys calm down, the T800 is going to be part of the Glider Kits offerred by Kenworth. They are also going to offer the W900. How do I know this?

I was at the Paccar Headquarters in Renton, WA for 4 days last week with engineers and people in the know. I have 100% confirmation that KW is getting back in Glider Kits in the near future. So great news for all of you Glider fanantics!!!! Just keep your eyes and ears open for dates.

 

About !@#$% time! I know how much of an engineering disaster it must be to have the factory employees sit down and watch a frame go by and NOT install an engine/transmission!!! I mean the seconds of planning and retooling that would take.

 

I will not hold my breath on KW getting back into gliders. I do hope for those that want them, they do. OEM's have a track record of saying something and then not delivering.

 

KW is starting to offer gliders in 3rd quarter, do you want to see the email?

Just heard on the conference call, we are going to start offering glider kits in the 3rd quarter. I do not have any details at this time, but I am guessing that we will begin taking orders for them very soon. Stay tuned and as I get more details, I will let you know.

Hope you're right . Talked to my local kw sales man today. He has not heard anything,but wouldn't be surprised if they started selling gliders.
