While pulling a grade it runs great. However, when topping a hill and grabbing gears it seems like an accator is going out. Really rough when grabbing gears. Then after a bit it smooths out and back to n ormal, but sometimes I have to pull over, come to astop. Idles rough, first gear or two is rough, then smooths out back to normal andd on with the show. No fault codes. Cat man hooked up cpu and ran all cut out tests. And everything came back ok. No (not ok) cylinders. Ran an overhead hoping that would help. No luck. Any suggestions. Please help if you can. The End.
Acert problem we can't figure out. Help please

How are you battery terminals... Make sure they are clean, no corrosion and tight.. Those acerts are picky. My dad a check engine and it had a hard time starting ended up being the terminals.. Just an idea..

i had the same problem a while back ended up being an accuator sticking. it wont throw a code if it is on the mech side of accuators. i just took them off and cleaned them.

I just had them out on Friday. Cleaned them up good. Wondering if its an ecm problem now. I'll put a test one pn tomorrow and give it a shot. Thanks for the replys.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge. Check and see if you are lossing pressure on the pull.

good idea, it could also be the check valve in the fuel filter base going bad. a cheap $24 fix.

another thing to look at is the wires going to the water diverter valve. i dont know if this would cause you trouble. it might be a wire harness issue also.these acerts are a pain. i just converted mine to a 6nz style engine to get rid of all the acert junk.

while you had the actuators off, did you check all the rocker shafts and studs and did you torque the actuators to the right torque value? did it do this before you had the actuators off or has it been on-going?

Check the wires to ur crank sensor(bottom side on left). My brother had the same issue u describe and the wire to the sensor had a rub place on it.He fixed the wire and no more problem. Good luck
