If it's like mine was there are 2 sets of positive and negative wires up there. But yes they are all yellow.
What I would recommend is if it has the fuse block over on the passenger side dash with the lift up access panel then there are 4 places in there to connect a power wire to. Then remove the passenger side A pillar and use the grab handle bolt as a ground then you can run the wires up into the cubby and across to where you are placing your CB. -
Put a volt meter on the wires and find the +/-, mark the - with black tape. If you have red tape you can mark the other too.
The yellow wires are indeed freightliner factory supplied wires for the cb. You can splice by soldering (preferred), or twist and wire nut. After wire nut, put a little zip tie right under it so the wires have no way of pulling against each other. A little tape around this assembly wouldn't hurt either.Big_m Thanks this. -
Even though it was hard to see,the couple of Columbia's I have driven all had PWR & GND marked on the wires.Towards the tip and further in to the cubby where the CB goes.

It's nice you all offer advice. Leave it at that. The OP can decide from there. Undermining each other won't be tolerated.
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
So you're saying I can run a new set of wires for the CB and a new set for the fan? Would they be protected by a fuse? I'm not very electric-savvy as far as vehicles are concerned, better with house wiring as I went from spec-builder to OTR'er in 2 years due to this roaring economy. Thanks for the help!

T depends. If you wire them to a fused circuit, yes. If its wired to a direct to battery line, you need to pit an inline fuse.
-
Id just use what there for the fan. If your just running a bone stock radio then you can use the other set for the radio and not run the new wires. But I would definatly not run a fan and a cb off the same wires. So if there's not 2 sets either run the new wires or decide which you'd rather have the fan or the radio.
If you run new ones they won't be fused unless you put a fuse in line.
