Got a question,
Classmate of mine has outstanding warrant dating back from 1998 still on books as of today, how will this affect his chances to get job, if and when he gets his cdl's![]()

If he doesn't get arrested while trying to get his CDL he may get arrested while at orientation. Happened to a guy in my last orientation. No joke. No legitimate company is going to hire someone who has a warrant out on him. Did you really have to ask that?
-
Really VIN, you wonder if they had to ask? Think about all the posters who troll here, and still ask about drug testing, and 15 over tickets. They do it because they think their experience is different than the last one.
Crow1feather, your "buddy" needs to get this cleared up IMMEDIATELY. This is an absolute no go for them.
Unless they happen to be Russian, and from the Chicago suburbs. -
When I changed my CDL from one state to another I had a parking ticket that I knew nothing about. I had to clear that up before I could get my CDL so I would think that a warrant would be a big problem.

Why don't you call the county or SLED and get it dropped? Takes some phone calls but it's worth a shot...just don't give them your address. SLED cleaned something up for me a few years back and I would rank it up there with a warrant.

HI All,
Thanks for the feedback on the question concerning my buddy's problem. I told him that it would probably make his chances slim to none , I think he will try and get his cdl's anyway and go from there. I told him that maybe a construction or logging company might be his only chance.
Again thanks for all the feedback, you all take care and be safe out there.
