"...Caliche or oil field dirt" is not hazmat, Caliche is just a limestone widely popular as roadmaking material and dirt would likely not be but they should tell you so,....they have no authority to set rules on the matter but seems to me to sound legit

TWIC - Transportation Worker Identification Card. You need a background check. If you have a current one from getting your Hazmat, it will save you money. If you don't, you have to pay for a new one, and pay for the TWIC. It's not terribly expensive. Some companies require it. Some don't.

I am also considering a position with Schneider out of Victoria, TX since they are one of the few companies hiring newbies. I was told that pay is $1100 per week that is 5 days if week if you are asked to work a sixth day you are looking at another $220. Keep in mind this is what I was told by a recruiter and it only applies to Victoria since diffrent locations pay diffrent amounts. Anybody out there that can verify this info??

that's just a sort of open Texas style that seems to be how people want to do things, such question does not mean exactly what it sounds as the person could follow with "only .... has any work" and as such the question is just being familiar with what the person is thinking

    Hey Newbie_2012
I have a friend of a friend so take this with a grain or salt. He is in Southern Ok. and says SNI runs him 4 days and off 3, at 1100 a week. I believe it to be fairly reliable info but it is not first hand so take it if you want. :biggrin_25519:

Nabors is advertising on the radio in Odessa/Midland. They're having a "drive through interview" tomorrow night at the Stripes on the Hwy 158/Garden City exit on I20. I think they're looking for experience, so if you're in the area go get interviewed while sitting in your car. They'll even give you a free hot dog.
Musselwhite is also advertising for experienced drivers. You have to get out of your car and bring your own hot dog though.

SNI isn't hiring recent grads in the oilfield (Victoria), as of Tuesday. They have all they need.
