How dare you enjoy your job. This is TTR, if you don't work for a mom & pop company then you are a bottom feeder.

I had someone at a truck stop steal some of my LED light off my trailer.... lucky i didnt catch them....
-
Maybe it was a Knight driver LOL
-
hmmmmmmm You might be on to something here.........

I had a talk with one of the squire drivers a year ago. I would not treat anyone the way knight scews those poor people. They celdone and swift should be put out of business.

Hmm this makes me wonder. I was just reading up on Knight and thinking of hitting the "SEND" button with the application attached, but now I'm having some doubts. The thing that really opened my eyes to that company, was the whole schedule of 7 on 7 off ( not sure if that's just a bunch of BS on their part, but that kind of gig is something I want. Out 7 days making money and home 7 days to spend with the kiddos and wifey, but now I'm not so sure on this company, although your "story" seems a little exagerated a bit at least... I do know one thing, if some dude pulled a knife on me, that mofo would have been going to jail, because I don't deal with that kind of bs. As far as them telling you to just deal with the exhaust fumes, that is ILLEGAL and by ILLEGAL I mean you are covered by FEDERAL LAWS that if you said BS with this and refused to drive the truck there is not a darn thing that comany can do to you.. Anyway, good luck in your next job, lets just hope the next trainer doesn't bring along a rocket launcher to pull out on you haha

I've been with Knight since Nov. 2011. Yes I started with squire had one trainer. Good guy. Met several other trainers that seemed straight shooters. I don't think the op told the whole story. Its not a terrible company to work at. But not always perfcect. But they have tried to work things out and have kept me rolling 2300- 3000 miles per week. I don't turn down loads without a real good reason(like wanting time off). And I have met 1 guy that does 7on 7 off. But didn't get time to talk with him. So can't advise you on that. Like anything else,It is what you make of it.
tommy36years Thanks this. -
Been with Knight a little over 4 years, worked for both large and small companies before that, and Knight is OK. It has it's faults, and it's good points. I don't drive as hard as I legally could, and I still average between 2500 and 2900 miles per week. My choice.
All this crap about low miles, and sitting for days, is just that>crap.
As far as trainers pulling knives, LOL! I suppose there might be one or two psychos out there, but I seriously doubt that is a company policy.tommy36years Thanks this. -
Its right there in the training manual... shank all students.
