Call the police, putting her in your truck and say you get stopped and all she has to say is "He touched me!", and she's underage, hope you aren't busy for the next 20 years.
One of the rules we had when I drove tour buses was, if they look young, you have to see an ID before they could get on a bus. If they weren't 18, they didn't get on.

I'd give her a ride right down to the nearest police station and let them sort it out.
last 1 Thanks this. -
Tell her sure but I need to get something to eat first. Fuel, park and call the police or trafficking hotline. Buy her dinner in the restaurant while you wait for the police.

I'd do it in a heartbeat.
My own daughter is 12 and those angels need protection.
I'd have also taken her inside for a meal and found out what the deal is.

Off topic but not really. Saw two kids between the age of 8-10 WORKING in a restaurant at 8pm on a Tuesday night. I called the sheriff of the town, funny thing is there was a deputy eating in the restaurant. When it comes to children/teenagers in a bad spot you best believe I'm doing something and I don't give a rats behind what others think. To the OP, I hope this eats on you forever.

If she was intent on getting in to a truck with someone then rather me than someone else.
I would as a previous poster said taken her to the closest police station or sat there in my seat with in view of everyone and tried to get to the bottom of the issues while alerting the relevant authorities.
To dangerous all round and just plain wrong if she was that young to head down the road with a stranger.
Just letting her carry on till she finds someone who will give her a ride was not the correct thing to do but I don't think some of the comments are fair towards the OP.SheepDog Thanks this. -
I was up at the Pilot in PA, a few miles after the 78/81 split, and noticed something odd. I was waiting for a shower, and in walks a lady, with 3 kids. The kids were probably 7, 9, and 12. They walk out, and get into an older Columbia, and close the curtains. Not sure if the kids were out of school, and went on a trip with mom, or if they were living in the truck. I felt horrible for the kids. Kids need to get exercise, and to be able to go outside and play. No offense, but I wouldn't let my kids play in a truck stop parking lot. Especially with dudes that talk about not wearing panties hanging around. There are some real perverts in our profession, and it's not a good place to have little girls around.
SheepDog and daddy&mama2go Thank this. -
It is all of our responsibilities to call the police when we witness this. That girl was likely being trafficked, and you may have saved her life.SheepDog Thanks this.

I know. A while back my wife and daughters were with me at the Petro in El Paso. While I cashed a check at the fuel island, my girls poked around the c-store. Later my wife told me that she got nervous with all the drivers leering at her and my then 15 year old daughter (my youngest is two). Granted we were dressed up to go out to eat and when my oldest is in makeup and in heels she does look older but still.
I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing her out on the road with me even though she would like to go.SheepDog Thanks this.
