Ever heard of child labor laws? Would you let or make your kids work on a school night? The kids didn't look happy that they were bussing tables and cashing people out at the register.

Man, where have you been?
I was working on school nights when I was in school. That was in the 70's.
However, most schools are closed for the summer now. -
Good for you for being the concerned citizen.I don't care how that trash is doing but wonder how she is.Hopefully not with anymore pimps.

I've been living in the modern era. So you were 8-10 yrs old working on school nights in the 70's? Doubt it dude.
-
I started working when I was 14 in the summers. During the last 2 years of school, I worked 5 to 10 every night and weekends. I got Friday nights off.
-
So you weren't 8-10 yrs old working on school nights. Have a good one.

You have yet to say how you KNOW they are only 8 to 10.
Did you ID them?
Child labor laws have nothing to do if a family restaurant.
Besides, I only listed places I was paid to work at.DragonTamerBrat Thanks this. -
So, what ... we can't try and instill a work-ethic in our kids [at a young age] anymore? Is that where we've come to? I doubt these kids we're "working". I suspect they belonged to someone who was about to get off work and they were doing menial, simple tasks asked of them. I somehow doubt they were cleaning out the fryers and prepping the kitchen for the next shift. If we can't ask kids to do chores and learn a work ethic at an early age, we are screwed as a society. -
While a thread like this is good for getting some public discourse going, some of you need to lighten up a little. I'm betting, since OP hasn't replied to anyone's posts, that there was no 12 yo hitcher. Just an OP doing a little trolling. And I'd say that's not a bad thing. Better to have a discussion about stuff like this in response to a hypothetical event, instead of an actual one.
