The boy was a little taller then my waist...I'm 6ft. The girl showed no signs of development and was about 3 inches taller than the boy. The restaurant was busy and understaffed. The girl worked the register and the boy bussed tables, got water and took drink orders. Medic your comment about being a family restaurant is irrelevent and you other statements are ignorant.

My comments have nothing to do with not instilling work ethic. I asked myself if this is something that I though was acceptable and would I have my kids...which I have...doing this. I called the sheriff because I didn't believe it to be right.

You seem to be hard to understand the fact, that many people are not very tall and look young.

You are not providing any facts to support the claim that you know they were that young. If you think they are so young, use the phone. I really doubt they were. Like I said, family members are not subject to child labor laws. Did the sheriff investigate and say they were too young, or are you just making everything up to be sensational?

I am not making personal attacks like you. Remember the rules for the site.

I witnessed it Medic, I made the call...which is what this whole post was about...making the call when something doesn't seem right. I can't help you in what seems to be a struggle with common sense or morals.

    You called.

You witnessed what appeared to be young ones.

    You are stating they were.

    I am asking how?

You accuse me of struggling with common sense, yet you do not answer simple questions?

I started working at the age of 16, no where was really hiring anyone under 16 in my area. But I've been independent ever since. samadams is blowing this way out of proportion.

Nothing wrong with people working young. Having to earn their keep. I did it and ill have my children do it. Our society is sensitive these days its ridiculous.

I live in a small town. Most of the kids have been working at their parents restaurants since they were 10 or younger.

Oh brother...your funny man. I have a 7 yr old and a 12 yr old and an 8 yr old step daughter Medic so I used my super special parental kid age guessing powers. Do you have a difficult time guessing peoples age? I'm guessing your between the age of 52 and 57...am I close?

I hear ya. I started in a restaurant. Publix hires if your 15 but your hours are limited.

Work ethic is a huge attribute missing today. Especially in MY generation. Everyone expects stuff to be handed to them.

As for samadams, just because you have young kids don't mean they were young. I have a 15 year old niece who looks like she's 10. She's very short and skinny.

I swear these days when something even looks a little odd people resort to calling the police or some crap. Ridiculous. Just plain ridiculous.

I have to be able to judge ages for meds, but even I cannot tell just by looking at someone.
