What does age have to do with any of this working crap? 10 .. 15.. whatever. If a kid is old enough to "help out" an hour or 2 and can perform the duties and no labor laws are being violated and the work is within reason, what's the harm? Some 10 year old kids can far out-perform a 17 year old kid at a given task. It's all to do with the kid and how they were brought up. Frankly, I find it refreshing to hear of 10, 12, 14 year old kids in this day helping out in a restaurant as long as they're not handling food or doing potentially dangerous work. I doubt they are working 5 hours, until midnight on a school night. Let's not discourage this except in rare cases where child labor is being truly exploited and abused.

My almost 18 year old would MAYBE hit your chest, and she has no development. Call her 10, and she'll let your face get nice and personal with the floor. Not all girls get a chest when they are 12. Whether or not YOU believe it to be right, it's still legal.

Wow you must be a big man huh?

    Good for you.

I don't know everything, only what I've been taught by my father. The man works 80 hour weeks at a Georgia pacific and has for 30+ years, I get my work ethic from him. I've been put to work since I could walk helping him do whatever I could.

You say we have no morals? You sir need a reality check. Are you the type who thinks when we encounter a problem we need to sit down and talk about it and share our feelings?

I have morals but I also have common sense.

Funny, I never had to judge an age for a med dosage, only weight.

Whether old enough for the meds or for discussion to the doctor or pediatric cases.

Just humoring the guy who could tell ages by looking.

WoW! First off all, who gives a rats patute about how old or young a kid is when they actually start working...LOL I was helping bail hey when I was 7 and as far back as I can remember, I was doing something on our farm. Samadams must be spoiled, like most kids these days. I have been "working" my whole life, like most in my generation or prior..LOL Anyway, I started getting a paycheck when I was 14 before that, all cash baby...LOL

As far as this story of a 12 year old young girl, if I thought she looked that young there is no way in God creation I would let her get into that truck without talking to the driver one way or the other. If he didnt make me feel all warm and fuzzy, I would call the police. I would not be able to sleep a wink until I got a call from the same police that the girl was ok. If I made a mistake and she was 20 or whatever fine, I can deal with that. No way could I take that chance, IF, I thought she was 12..
