Hey guys. The trucks I'll be driving have no cigarette lighters. Instead, the have these holes (female connectors) in the dash (one hot, one ground). Do they make some kind of cigarette lighter female to split plug adapter I could use? I'm trying to figure out how to connect my cell phone to charge and hook up a radio because these trucks HAVE NO RADIOS! I have Googled with no success.![]()
Help! No cigarette lighter!

Not sure what you're trying to describe but it sounds to me like perhaps you're seeing the wiring connector left behind after someone removed the cigarette lighter receptacle? Go to any Loves or Pilot and you should see universal replacement cigarette lighter receptacles on the wall where all of the miscellaneous wiring/radio stuff is. (In my mind, it seems like they normally stock what I'm thinking of)
Look at the back of one and see if that male plug does not look like the Female connector you have in your truck -
Wal-mart has a cigarette lighter socket in the automotive section with wires coming off of it. I bought one and attached it to my truck's CB power lugs when my lighter socket in the dash quit working and I didn't have time to try to figure out why.

Sounds like CB red/black post?
Either way Squonk, they sell a cigarette lighter extension at truck stops with a male on one end and a female on the other. You can cut the female off and use that.
Like windsmith says they sell lighter sockets ready to wire in. Some enclosed in a mounting box you stick to the dash. -
Yes, exactly. I went to Radio Shack & they had just what I needed (female cigarette lighter adapter split into 2 clamps; 1 red clamp for positive & black one for negative). Now I just got to find a portable radio that plugs into cigarette lighter. I went to best buy & those kids had no clue.

Sounds like it might be time to just get a Sirius / XM portable with subscription.
