FedWrex, they preach safety but don't practise. Many of their terminals are disfunctional with equipment strewn about, thus a reflection upon the terminal manager. I once notified the terminal manager over a safety issue as it was occurring right outside the front door of LineHaul, drivers hooking their trailers while blocking other drivers from obtaining theirs ,they only had to walk outside. Instead they asked me to get the truck number of the violator. When I did report the truck number, the LineHaul Manager didn't even write it down. even the on duty Safety Manager failed to act. They are a contract run organization, which makes you the driver a sub-contractor, with very little benefits or none at all. You will sit & wait for your trailers, many times, several hours even up to a full day, with no extra pay. You are supposed to receive extra drop & hook pay, however, many contractors, if any at all, will share this with their drivers. They are big on highering Croations/Russians many of whom speak broken english. You will fight with the Croations/Russians over trailers at designated butt's, as they will take yours & leave you waiting, which in turn will cause you to lose out on your next days run. They were busted many years back for their highering practises as many Croation/Russian Contractors were bringing unlicenced & in-experienced drivers from abroad. Many of them are arrogant & will steal you blind if given the chance. The management of this company only cares about themselves. Loaders are paid at or just above minimum wage. Yard Dogs are loaders who have busted their ###, thus get what they believe is a promotion, with no additional pay. Management looks upon this action as incentive enough. Up until recent, they used to take drivers right from drivers school, to pull their "doubles." This may help to explain all those roll over accidents up on Sherman's I-80 in Wyoming, which shuts us all down in Cheyenne.

I don't know about all the other stuff. But the wrex part is definitely right. Everytime I look up theres a Fed Ex truck strewn about the ditch. This is on straight highways too.

    trucker43 and Tazz Thank this.

Most of the Fed Ex trucks I see are driving like total maniacs....Flying by in construction zones...Most(not all) just dont seem to care about anything but hauling butt. And yes, I know there are some that are driving ok, even slower then the speed limit, but it is very rare.

Ive seen that myself, had a few go to pass me, weaving all over the place, and a few times almost into me, and cursing them out does nothing, fedex freight is just as bad, except when they d o have the radio on, their attitude is, "#### you, at least i get paid more than everyone else!",i'd just as soon have something shipped on ups rather then fed wrecks.

15 years ago Fed Ex was right up there with UPS as far as driver respect went. They've gone downhill since then. Their drivers are always speeding and driving aggressively. Hiring standards have definately dropped. And these east block immigrants are some of the most dangerous drivers on the road.

I think the OP has a problem with management in general, just pissing and whining.

Back in the 90's, the Chicago hub was like the Star Wars bar scene. Luckily I don't have to go there now.
