OK. Some folks would crawl on broken glass to get out of here. Texas is no longer a working man's state it is all about the rich #####.

Sorry mods. I should not have referred to a female dog in my previous post.

Mini Floats range $3.00-$6.00 per mile. Single axle's are a few percent higher. Big Truck $4.00-$8.00 per mile. I'm not sure about 1 ton Hot Shot loads. There's a lot of variables in quoting the rate such as distance, what type of freight, expedited or not & a few others.
Why did you stop hauling oil field equipment ??? The last couple years have been pretty busy and this year is on track to be a little better. -
I never moved freight over $4.00 a mile to my truck I was running out loaded and coming home empty so I was only making $2.00 a mile my all miles was running $1.74 a mile just not worth it to me I was running like crazy driving all night long just to make it back to reload for the next morning I worked for fasttrak expedited and acme all paid the same even over size the only way I was getting more than $4.00 a mile was a short run

That's where the money is at "most" of the time, short hauls. I couldn't tell you the last time I made a run over 750 miles round trip.
