Got to play ice cream Santa Claus today. 9 rejected cases of drumsticks... kept some in my freezer, walked around the TA in Branford CT until they were all gone.
Got the I95 construction delay in spades... especially after FedX decided to collide with someone else up in the construction area.
Got the bridge over the Hudson standstill delay while they decided to tear a hole in the darn thing.
Got the detour away from my favorite shortcut through wunnerful Passaic via scenic Hackensack cuz the exit to the south was closed for road demolition.
Oh well... nothin' like a scenic tour of northern Joisey at 2AM!
Next door to my shipper in Rosenhayn NJ... for a nap.

Hmm... turns out I'm not going to Ft Worth. Customer changed his mind, added two stops - the first not occuring until Tuesday, and the final on next Thursday. Droppin' this dawg at Bensalem.

Countdown: Three days to annual CVSA Roadcheck blitz
Now that the big holiday traffic blitz is over, commercial vehicle enforcement is gearing up for its annual enforcement crackdown this weekend. CVSA's Roadcheck will commence Tuesday, June 5.
CVSA sponsors Roadcheck with participation by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators, Transport Canada, and the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (Mexico).
Roadcheck is the largest targeted enforcement program on commercial vehicles in the world, with approximately 14 trucks or buses being inspected, on average, every minute from Canada to Mexico during a 72-hour period.
Each year, approximately 10,000 CVSA-certified local, state, provincial and federal inspectors at 1,500 locations across North America perform the truck and bus inspections.
CVSA is made up of local, state, provincial, territorial and federal motor-carrier safety officials and industry representatives in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Since its inception in 1988, the roadside inspections conducted during Roadcheck have numbered more than 1 million. Learn more about the program at cvsa.org. -
