Burton Truck Lines Screws Employees!!!

I just wanted to tell everyone that if you are thinking about applying for burton truck lines inc. out of Northbrook Illinois, that you need to RUN FOR THE HILLS IF YOU KNOW WHATS BEST FOR YOUR FAMILY. My parents started working there only a month ago and when my mom asked the owner if she could have a rider with her he told her that that was no problem and it was only 42 dollars a month for a rider policy. My parents got there first check, TWO WEEKS LATER, and was shocked to find that they charged her a 200 dollar passenger insurance charge along with several other charges from her check that they did not tell her about. Secondly, it was suppose to be a out 5 days home 2 company....my parents decided to stay out for 2 weeks to bank a little money and then put in to come home for three days, waaay past the minimum 5 days out. They put in to come home 2 weeks ago on monday and the owner said he would have them home by friday so they could spend the weekend home. My parents were in california at the time and had to take a load to nevada before they could head home but when they delivered the load they got a txt to there phone (because burton is so cheap that they dont put qualcoms in there trucks) that they were to take another load back to california. Outraged they called the company and they promised my parents that if they would just take the load back to california that they would get to go home immediatley after. (since when do you have to BARGAIN with the company you work for to get home and see your family?) My parents agreed to take the load because they've only been working there a couple weeks and they wanted to make a good impression. Today is feburary 4th, two weeks past when my parents were suppose to be home. The company has played games with there CHECK and there HOME TIME for the past two weeks. They "forgot" to put loads down on there check and simply said, don't worry about it we'll put it on next week, like it wasnt a big deal. How many of you truckers out there can just call the cable company or the gas company and just say i "forgot" to pay my bill, but dont worry about it, ill get it to you next week? And expect to turn on your telivision and watch the superbowl or fire up your stove and cook a pizza. It doesnt work that way, so my parents at this point have told the company that when they get home they will spend there three days at home and they will come back to work for two weeks then they were quiting, that way the company would still have two weeks to get another driver for there truck. And what has the glamorous BURTON TRUCK LINES INC done for my parents two weeks notice??? Why they've cut off there fuel card and said good luck getting home. Now my parents are in wisconsin and have 200 dollars of THEIR own money to put in BURTONS TRUCK to try to get back home in michigan. This is the most ridiculous company ive ever seen. But wait, it gets better, when my parents went to their orientation they told them that they would have a hotel room for them to stay in overnight during the orientation. Do you know what there hotel room was? It was a run down building across the street that burton used to call there main office. My parents walked into a room that had no curtains, no tv, and no bed. It had a sink and a pull out couch in the corner of the room. And how could i forget, my parents sent me a picture to my phone of their room and it had a set of old worn out dually tires from a semi laying on the floor in the room. Way to set your employees up to be comfortable burton. On a scale of 1-10 i give burton a 0. If you like your family to at least be able to survive in this world, please, stay away from BURTON TRUCK LINES INC. Thank you.
