i have also searched for 3 month ,finding a good school was hard,i chose swift.im goin on june 18th.i have my cdl,but need to get recent experience..there are good and bad reports about every school out there ..u have to make a choice with an open mind,n positive attitude for what ur willing to do to get the experience,,its all about the 1 yr exp. u can go anywhere after that..if u have the money to go to a collage in ur st ,that would be the best thing ..or its going to be a long prosses to get out on ur own..it will be worth it in the end tho..rember ,positive attitude n open mind ,its ur choice ,,not what eveybody else has exprenced with the school they went to..ill keep u posted on my swift exp,if u havnt mad a choice by june..good luck....donnyl3

Prime has a pet policy. Kind of pricey, but it is refundable last time I checked.

Every company has its ups & downs, do's & don'ts. The only advise offered is to continue talking to other drivers deciding for yourself as to the direction you want to travel in life. Get the experience first keeping your nose clean on DAC/MVR & your CDL will take you anywhere. Never abandon or quit under dispatch or anything that would cost the company money to retrieve or re-power the load, they will/can put it on your DAC causing much grief on trying to get another job in the industry. In my 22 yrs of trucking I've worked for 5 companies and in the end they're all the same. Same Game Different Name!

CR England might be one of the worst or the worst to go with... Just do a search on here, even look at the last few threads in the Bad Company... just horror stories.

Are you looking for one that will send you through school as well?
If you can fork out about $400/person, both Lone Star College & San Jac have grants that will cover the rest of the tuition. Being a Texas vet, I used the Hazelwood exemption and only paid $4 plus cost of tests and uniforms
Lone Star is where me & my hubby are going. 1960 @ Hardy toll road.
San Jac campus is in Deer Park on Spencer Hwy

Be advised there are shippers/receivers that will not allow pets in the gate . If your pet means that much to you will you be comfortable leaving it at a guard shack for hours ?

I would also go with cr England until you get enough exp. Then start looking elsewhere.
