Search "truck lease" and you will find all the info you could possibly want. Search "successful truck lease" and you'll probably roll a doughnut....

Its a pretty discussed topic here, you may not get much action on this thread.... Unless a troll shows up.... In any case good luck:biggrin_25519:

My husband did a lease purchase with RT&T out of East Dubuque Il.
Truck payment was $280/wk, $300/maintenance account. He was earning .99/mile with the chance for .02/mile bonus each quarter (which he did earn & get).
Zero down, term for our truck was 3 years; he got good miles and was able to pay it off 4 months early.
    No hidden fees. No bulls**t.
I recommend this company to everyone.
They began as the dad being a trucker, and he went on to start his own company. Now they are getting bigger and in my opinion, better.
It is a great place where you the driver are a person, not a number.

you want some of the good stories head on over to the favorite company section and look for the Prime and ACT threads. For the bad any of the CR England threads in any of the sections will do.

I've only been a company driver. But, I'm curious. Lots of owner operators on here, and I'm wondering, isn't 99 cpm kinda low?

.99 for a L/P driver is on the high side. I'd like to stress that before entering a L/P with any company to make sure that company is healthy. Perfect example: O & S out of Springfield, MO. I hope that the drivers don't get the trucks pulled out from under them. If a company goes under when you are leasing a truck, you've lost the truck. Most of the Arrow drivers list their trucks and every dime they put into them. Be aware of what you're doing and with whom you're doing it with. It could cost you everything. Just ask the Arrow drivers, and possibly the O & S drivers as well. Good luck out there

It seems very low to me as well. I am a company driver that is paid by the hour with overtime. I drove 363 miles today and worked 14 hours. My gross pay was $440.12 for today. I divided my gross by the miles driven and it came out to roughly $1.21 per mile. Granted, that is not the norm. It is usually 340 miles and 11.5 hours worked. Either way, 99cpm is really low.

    dirtroadchild,
Can't pm you - only have 2 post so far.
The phone number for RT&T is 1-815-747-9125.
They have a number to hit that will connect you to recruiting. I'm not sure what that one is.
I can only speak of our experience with them and it was very positive. My husband made da** good money. He got good miles and not in only one area of the country.
They haul dry vans, no hazmat.
He had a freightliner. They have a website - try googling RT&T enterprises.
