I see people posting comments about the dodge 3500 trans. not lasting, the rear end not lasting, ect. So, I tought I 'd post my results so far. I have a 2008 3500 with cummins 6.7. I haul oilfield equip. with a 40' gooseneck trailer that weighs close to 9k without a load. My loads vary from a couple thousand to 16 or 18k. I have 259,000 miles on the truck so far. Motor, never been touched except for maintaince, trans. never been touched except for maintaince, rear end, same thing. I just got the front suspension rebuilt at about 240k, just replaced the A/C system at 258k, Just replaced the u-joints at 240k, The DPF accidently fell of as well as EGR. Lets see, what else have I replaced, oh yes, the factory radio died. I hope I get a couple more yrs. out of this truck and probably will as it still runs smooth as silk. I thought it was having injector issues a few months ago but after running 2 bottles of sea foam through it problem vanished. I work my truck HARD but,,,, I drive it easy. I need this truck to support my family and dont regret choosing this truck at all. Some people will break any truck because they think every drive is a race and some people really dont know how to drive. I looked at a new Ford f350 with the 6.7l recently, there wasnt an inch of room in that engine compartment and the salesman couldnt find the fuel filter. I told him thanks for convincing me to stick with Dodge.

all of the big three have their ups and downs, especially with emissions. as long as you make money with what your driving thats really all that counts. ive had a few friends with trans go out on dodges, but it really depends on how you drive it, Ive also been told that there was no way I would get to 100k on my 6.0 with a 160 hp tune on stock heads........just goes to show you because some have problems not ALL have problems

REV X works very good for the injectors BTW, but its expensive.

Yea, these things happen. Lucky for me I had a replacement pipe laying around in a UPS box.

    Two thumbs up olstinker !!!

It's really weird, when the EGR/CAT/NOX/DPF "fall off" these motors get much better MPG's and last a lot longer.
