Ok thanks, I know two brothers teaming for Prime and looking for a change. I know you talked about teams alittle bit but thought maybe they only hired on the west coast for that.
Sounds like what there looking for. Any details on how they run them, like how many turns they would make before hometime. I know these guys are runners. Anway thanks i will pass on the info and tell them to give Mort a call or email.

well Johnboy and rhino i have to say its been nice hearing positive things about a company for a change. my wife and went to pittston 2 weeks ago for the nickle tour and to meet chris and i must say i was impressed on how well we were made to feel like part of the team..i was starting to loose faith in the industry and thinking there were not anymore companys that actually cared about there employees. well that was changed in one day..ill be in pittston on thursday the 14th for orientation..hopefully ill be able to keep everyone posted on how were doing.have a good and safe weekend everybody and look foward to meeting eveyone soon...

When we are busy, like we are now, they will run them back and forth. They will tell dispatch when they need off and it will be honored. If they want to run multiple trips before taking some time off they can. The teams are dispatched first, then the solo west coast drivers are next. Guy's like me who run there every so often are then dispatched. It's approximately 2800 miles from Pittston to LA then with the running around to get loaded it's a little over 3100 miles back. Teams leave out on Monday and get back the following Monday, some leave out on Tuesday and are back Monday also. So they are looking at 5800-6100 miles per week.

Spent quite a few years doing runs like that :biggrin_25519: kind of miss at times.

That's a sharp looking truck, but it looks kind of small. How was the room on the inside? One thing that would bug me, is the flat top and possibly not being able to stand up in there.

Here's my adventure this morning getting empty in Miami. What a complete miserable delivery this was. I was empty in about 2 hours. But it took me about an hour to go through this residential area, turn down an alley way and drive about 3 blocks to come in from behind at the school. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

    Looks like fun John.

How often do you make those types of deliverys? What kind of product did you deliver?

It's playground equipment that's made in Lewisburgh Pa. Everytime I get a load like that it always goes to a school, park, church, hospital or a military base. The one before this I took to the Navy base out in Bremerton Washington. I haven't delivered this product in 3 years that had a loading dock.
