You can't go wrong wit WS. Their people are great at all levels! If you are especially fortunate you will be able to take orientation in Conover with a terrific team of Tim, RL and Matt!

jet460 Thanks this. -
Well folks, big changes have come my way and I'm forced to put driving on hold indefinately. I wish I had the time to explain it all right now but I don't. I hope I can get to that one evening this weekend but we'll have to see how things go. The short of it is my mom (77 and already using a walker and or cane) hurt her back on May 2nd. I came home on the 10th to evaluate her condition, setup whatever care was needed and planned on returning to work on the 14th. That didn't happen and I promise I'll get to the story as soon as I can. But much still needs to be done right now.
Be safe and God Bless everyone.Wedge Thanks this. -
I hope things work out...Do you what you have to do, we'll be here when you have time and you're ready...

You guys and gals don't know me but I sure do know you! I've been reading from the beginning of ORG's thread and just caught up to date here.
Let me start by saying that I hope your situation works out and you are able to get back to driving if that is what you wish!!! You are in my prayers!!!
As for me, I'm researching this profession as a career option for me and I've found this site and specifically these threads (ORG's and yours) to be invaluable to say the least. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOURSELF AND EXPERIENCES WITH US!!!
I live in the foothills of NC only 45 minutes or so from Conover. I've been in sales my whole career from Copiers to medical IV therapy equipment to being a stock broker to owning my own BBQ restaurant and catering business. We (my wife and 2 sons) aren't in a position to move due to family obligations so my job opportunities are slim-to-none. I'm also not able to compete with the catering business and to be honest, I'm tired of trying!
There are many things that interest me about driving a truck and many that scare the hell out of me but I'm getting a much clearer picture thanks to this family.
I didn't jump in until I got caught up to date and I hope it's not to late to get this sincere thank you to Chris!?!? as well as the rest of you who have made this read as enjoyable as it is educational!!!
God Bless

Is it really possible to be just out of school and be ready to go on your own that fast.
