US 35 jackson, ohio in the rest area yesterday only time i got checked over the period and he was a real ###......guess he thought since my truck is spotless, everything stowed and secured, as is my paperwork and everything else, i SURELY must have been hiding something wrong lol he #### sure took his time trying to find it and seemed rather irritated when he didn't find anything wrong. guess he doesn't like biker types......
blew my whole trip plan it took so long and pushed me getting home tonight instead of this morning becuase everything else from delivery to preplan got shoved another 10 on down the schedule -
i got a level 1 on the I77 south scales in VA on tuesday. it went beautiful. that was until the last thing the guy checked, my left front steer had cupping, i knew both fronts where close......it had chaffed one part down to the cords. out of service. what sucks is my companies shop is 30 minutes away in draper virginia. i tried to get him to let me slide, and i would come back with 2 new steers but no dice. no sticker either.
the tire was the only thing on the tractor, and the slide brackets on the trailer were worn, and the ABS light was missing/inoperative.
on wednesday, i was headed to Ohio, and i ran across the same US 35 one at the 8mm across the line. got waved over, officer said im gonna do a brake inspection. i said wanna see something? i showed him the virginia DOT paper from the day before and he said he wasnt going to waste my time. i begged him to do it anyway so he would give me a sticker lol i knew i would pass. had 2 new steer tires put on the day before. oh well.................. -

Yes they both get NEW trucks next Friday
-
That's not a bonus, that's an assignment to hell. Experience in our shop shows new trucks are in the shop more than the older shops. I am dreading seeing this truck I am driving now go away. I stay on top of things and I don't have to work out the bugs the guys are dealing with on the new trucks we got in March.
They got new 2012 cascadia's. I am driving an 09. -
Well they do have a choice new T800 KENWORTHS
