My wife and I are going wth Interstate also. We will be going to school in southern Mo. and are going in together. Interstate is one of the few to let us train together and then go on to drive as team together. That makes me and my wife happy. We are going to start school at the begining of the year. We are looking forward to it. We have never done nothing like this before so a little nervous also. We have tried to do as much research as possible and have not found alot talking bad about Interstate Dist. Wait and see I guess?? Enjoy looking and reading the post here at the forum. Thanks in advance for any and all advice!

I was at CDS in Lakewood for a short time .. the reason they work with "hundreds" of trucking companies is because they use a standard submission database (like going to a varied 'trucking job dot com' website which submits your application into a database) .. Gordon, Swift, Interstate, Werner, US Express, Sherman Brothers are several that are consistent in driver fairs that take place at CDS, 1 because they are technically local terminal participants and 2 they have an extended training program for a driver right out of school; there are several companies that will not allow a rider during winter months for safety and liability reasons. There may be abit more research needed on your part to find that company who'd let your lady come along when she wants to go..and don't limit yourself to the pre employment offers you receive; again, continue to inquire with others.

The young man who received '27' offers may have been open to other ideas such as not just driving OTR..but 27 seems farfetched at best.

Ask Lee Brunk and/or Lori to give you the names of the companies he submitted your information to .. take that list outside the three offers you've received, and take a personal look inside yourself. You may find more than you would receive from IDC (good impression, never home), Gordon (pessimistic, micromanaged non communicators), or Swift (whom you know).

    Good luck to you.
