Someone posted on here a while back that Carlile was paying 0.30 / mile?Click to expand...
thats not for the ice roads, maybe for the highway drivers...but i HIGHLY doubt it

You're right on the money. My only question is "would anyone really hire Hugh to drive anything above a wheel barrow? I think he could tear up a steel ball!GasHauler said: ↑IRT not a good place for experience or advice. Remember that the Ice Road Trucking Show is just that a show. There are some tips that are good but many are bad and in my eyes do not reflect how one should go about things. I do watch the show ,after all I'm retired, but I look at it as a comedy and not as life in a truck. I have a few predictions and lets see if any of them come true.
1. Rick is going to get serious hurt or worse..
2. Pork Chop will get fired.
3. The 22 year old is going to make many enemies and get pulled off the road and sent back down south.
4. Jack is going to find out his head has gotten too big and brought back to reality.
5. The driver from MT with 41 years experience is going to fit in ok and make good money with little or no problems.
6. Polar Bear will break away from Rick and he will have his own problems. He may finish the season but his truck will show it.
7. Carlile will be involved in more than one accident and one of the IRT actors will be involved.
8. Of course there will be numerous stupid mistakes made that a first year rookie may make but these will come from the so called experieced drivers.
It's fun to watch but I believe a warning should go out before the show and state that this is not how it's done.Click to expand...SuperLiner Thanks this. -
If he was not an o/o, they probably would not hire him.
