The worse drivers are the ones that slow to 10mph on the Va. scales on 81. It's posted maintain 40mph. Or the drivers that tailgate in the scales. If you leave 100ft between trucks the scales will fill up faster!
-
Driver, Don't you know that if you tailgate anything you will make it go faster. They go even faster if you have grill teeth.

the reality is it is just human nature like ducking going under a bridge. the rational part of our brain doesn'y always connect with all the other moving parts or we would all be single
3 wives 5 houses a few cars none in my possesion anymore would lead a rational person to stop trying to attain these fleeting objects but i keep finding women with bad enough taste to marry meokiedokie and Moosetek13 Thank this. -
Yes.
I am not slowing anymore while on the highway unless I am going over the posted limit (heck, I max out at 63), but I usually will be going slower while actually in the scale area.
Better safe than sorry, is my motto. Going 40 in an area that says maintain 45 is safer than trying to maintain 45, and maybe going to 47 and getting pulled in for speeding.
I really have no idea how strict they are in that regard, so I'll play it safe.
And I'm sorry if I slow the super trucks down a bit, but for that distance they won't lose more than several seconds. -
I prefer to just hammer right in to the scale and then dynamite my brakes on the scale. You get really good looks from the guy/gal inside. Especially if you hit the brakes hard enough to hear the scale hit the outside of itself......
[/humor](albeit bad)Hammer166, Female Driver and Speedemon1084 Thank this. -
Yup, to say the least.Female Driver Thanks this.

Scalee in Wisconsin got closed years ago that way. Driver was tired of their bs.
