Out of these companies which in your minds offers the the best training, success in training for student drivers: Stevens Transport, Prime or Swift? What is the average training time before you start to see a pay check?

The fact that you're asking on the bad company forums should make you think twice.

They will begin paying you the second you get on a trainers truck. Prime pays the most @ 600 a week as a student which is by far the most you'll get anywhere as a student.

Is there no community college or school near you that offers a truck driving program?

I honestly wouldn't recommend any of those companies listed. I usually hear pretty good things about newbies starting at Schneider. Conway is another good one. I think FedEx is taking students now, too.

I recommend it if you don't have a home life. If your young or retired and got time to kill for a adventure, then go for it.

I would start a new list, go to you local unemployment office and see if the state has a help program at the local cdl school.

I would say to start with either Schneider, Con Way, or TMC. Haven't seen too many negative comments about them. Good Luck to you! :biggrin_25519:

I do not recommend this if you want or have children that you actually want to raise.
