I wanted to see how the driver log's worked. But now I can't shut it off! What am I missing?
-
Mr. Garmin, where are these units made?
-
-
Another huge issue is the local street names vs. State route/interstate route names...there should an ability to toggle the two!
-
The biggest issue I have is I'd like there to be a setting where I could go in and say always calculate my route at 58 mph or what ever speed you run
I left marina ca to Bessemer nc and it showed I would get here about 12 hours before I knew I would running 62
I don't think it would work if they set it to go by your current speed as it would alway be recalculating on hills and such would put to much work on the unit
Just give us a spot we could go in and hard set our speed -
from his profile.
Guess we aren't that important to him.

First and foremost, I like the DEZL560 I appreciate the versatility the unit has especially with personalized POI files and your proprietary redlight/ speed camera POI base. I also appreciate the ability to personalize data fields giving me the information I want to see. A little thing but a nice touch is that your alerts are not keyed to specific routings but are available in route or follow-me modes. All in all, the 560 is a great unit.
However, the truck specific database needs to be expanded and rechecked for postion errors. I'd like to see customer specific icons instead of the generic ones used- Pilot for Pilot, Petro for Petro etc. I would also like to actually see the icons while moving ( this has been an issue of mine for a long time, way before the dawning of the truck specific device). I would like to see the #$$# ads when using traffic to go away. Routing is about par for the course, neither really good or really bad so, I'd like to your engineers' thinking on routing shift from eithor fastest or shortest schemes to practical routing. There is a difference.
My last feature request is a little on the fantasy side of things bit what the heck right? How about duplex NMEA data. Man my old 76CS is a little long in the tooth now.

If this has not been mentioned already how about an IPhone app that has truck routing options.

Another thing that I would like to see is the ability to input a speed and have an "alarm" sound if that speed is exceeded. But of course also have the ability to turn that feature off!
